WALLS
come over here, you said,
come and see what I see
but how, I asked,
there is a wall blocking my way
walk through, you replied,
and so I walked,
and as I walked,
I walked through memory
and through confusion,
through yesterday,
then through tomorrow,
and as I walked,
I walked through regret
and through failure,
through apprehensions
and beliefs, then
through judgements
and ideals,
and as I walked,
I walked through right and wrong
and through fear
and when my wall was gone,
I looked around,
but you were not here
then I saw you
in the distance
and I called your name
come over here, I said,
come and see what I see
but how, you asked,
there is a wall blocking my way

Dear Mark,
What an impressive poem. So pure and genuine that it reaches the soul like you. I feel like I have a very strong energy bond with you as if you were a son to me. I have your painting in my living room ( searching for the clouds and sky) I follow up all your posts. Wish you a divinely future.
Warm thoughts from Lebanon , Nawal,
